Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship

Back to Post-Graduate Scholarships Page

The Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship program is the largest privately sponsored International Scholarship in the world.  The program began in 1947 and has sponsored more than 34,000 scholars at a cost in excess of $400 million dollars.  During their studies abroad, the Ambassadorial Scholars act as Ambassadors of Goodwill through appearances before Rotary clubs, schools, civic organizations and other forums.  The scholars represent their homeland and work to improve and further International understanding.  Upon returning home, scholars share with Rotarians and others the experiences that led to a greater understanding of their host country.

Each year, Rotary International District 7280 typically offers one Ambassadorial Scholarship for study abroad for one academic year.  It provides funding up to $24,000 for tuition and fees, round-trip transportation, room, board, some educational supplies, and language training, if necessary.  There is no limit for the number of Grove City College applicants that may apply for this scholarship so we strongly encourage as many to apply.
