2010 Personal and Professional InterestsDr. Powell served as Assistant to the President of the College and Admissions Marketing Coordinator for fourteen years and has taught in the Business Department since 1991. Prior to coming to the College, he spent ten years in retailing, advertising and sales. In addition to teaching five different marketing courses, Dr. Powell is the faculty advisor for the campus chapter of the American Marketing Association. He was also inducted as a member of Delta Mu Delta (business honorary) and Omicron Delta Kappa (leadership society). His other interests include teaching an Adult Bible Fellowship class at Sandy Lake Wesleyan Church, serving on the Western Pennsylvania District Board of Ministerial development of the Wesleyan Church, spending time with his wife (Christine Deahl ’90) and two daughters, reading, and exploring the great outdoors on ATV “Quadventures.” PublicationsThe Singular Role of Leader and Servant, 1991, presented to the Christian Business Faculty Association |
