Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility requirements to earn internship credit:

·  Have attained at least junior standing at the start of the internship (have earned 60 or more hours of credit).

·  Have completed at least 12 hours of business, accounting, and entrepreneurship courses.

·  Both CQPA and MQPA are 2.0 or higher.

  • Have a faculty sponsor with appropriate, relevant experience and approved by the Internship Coordinator.

  • Have an internship or job which meets the requirements specified.

Academic credits

The student in coordination with his/her academic advisor should determine how the credit hours are distributed using the following guidelines:

·  One-credit hour for each 80 contact hours.

·  Entrepreneurship majors must complete a minimum of one, 2-credit, 160-contact hours internship.

·  A maximum of 3-credits hours may count toward their major.

·  Up to an additional 3-credit hours may count as general elective credits.

No more than three hours may be credited in each of the above categories.

Students may earn up to 12 hours of internship credit if the hours above six are in addition to the 128 required for graduation.
