Entrepreneurship majors have a
strong liberal arts base to their education as about 50%
of their academic program is in the liberal arts; thus,
we graduate a citizen-business professional who is
informed about world affairs, civil affairs, and has an
appreciation of the aesthetic. Entrepreneurship students
understand how cash flow drives a business, why their
human resource practices foster or hinder company
growth, the importance of planned and effective
marketing, how to network for resources and information,
and succeed as an entrepreneur.
-
All Entrepreneurship Freshmen
majors now participate in an entrance interview to
provide a forum for students to discuss their
individual academic goals, expectations, and needs,
as well as their plans for creating a business.
-
The Entrepreneurship Program
provides students with the opportunity to work in
the program as part of the E-team. The E-team
assists with event planning, the annual business
plan competition, marketing, the program website,
and research.
-
We strive to promote visibility
access to our undergraduate entrepreneurial
education to academically qualified disadvantaged
students by utilizing the entrepreneurship program
and its activities to develop relationships with the
minority community.
-
A chapter of the Students in
Free Enterprise (SIFE) has been established.
-
Students have the opportunity
to apply for program
scholarships.
