2nd Annual Business Plan Competition Results
The 2nd Annual Business
Plan Competition had 20 teams of 75 students from 16 majors
participate. The event was sponsored by the
Grove City College Entrepreneurship Program and
Pine Instrument Company, with a special nonprofit award from
Wesley Institute of Pittsburgh.

| 1st Place ($4,000) |
Grove City Cigars A Grove City retail store, with a wholesale distribution system,
and an online store providing quality cigars, pipes, and related
product at reasonable prices.

| 2nd Place ($2,500) |
Seabee Enterprises Inc.
A small start up company, manufacturing and selling the human
powered watercraft, the Trinidad.

| 3rd Place ($1,500) |
Mercury Technology Inc.
An online firm that manufactures and distributes a revolutionary
recumbent bicycle that combines stability and efficient power
transmission for touring and commuting.

Football Club Grove City
A non-profit education organization created to promote the
growth and development of Grove City youth.

| Mercury Technologies and Seabee Enterprises represent the
integration of senior engineering students design projects
into the competition, the joining of business students to
those teams due to the cooperation and collaboration of
the departments of engineering and business here at Grove
City College. |
