Start-Up Opportunity for a 3D Developer (3-20-10)

Be the 3rd person in the start-up with major equity stake!

Cloudfab is a Pittsburgh-based startup who has created a distributed fabrication service that connects buyers who need digital fabrication (3D printing, laser cutting/etching, etc.) to the sellers who have the capacity. They have had numerous articles written about the company and are set to launch a brand new product in just a matter of days!

They're in a current $1.5B industry projected to grow up to $125B in just the next few years and are particularly well positioned as the most progressive company in this space! They are in urgent need to bring on a full-time employee that will essentially be the Chief Software Architect for the organization. You'll be the company's third employee, joining the two founders, and will have a major equity piece in the organization.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a real 3D development subject-matter expert in everything from 3D generative art to computational geometry including parametric and mesh file creation/manipulation. You must have solid 3D design/drafting experience and any product/industrial/package design experience would be a big plus. Your role, initially, will be to develop a Software Design Kit that will allow general audiences to produce custom physical products via 3D equipment. You'll be creating this from scratch so knowledge in how to build the kit is an absolute MUST.

As the company grows you will assemble a team of software design engineers to keep the product current and fresh thereby helping to launch the company into new commercial markets.

You must be fluent in general web development (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and preferably Ruby/Rails) and have strong coding skills with C/C++ and Flash/Actionscript. You should be familiar with open source SW and HW and a strong understanding of social platforms. Of course experience with development of CAD/CAM/Physical Simulation software is a big plus.

The SharePoint Solution Services (SSS) group within Westinghouse Information Systems is interested in engaging a summer intern for 2010. The student will be able to gain on-the-job experience with a rapidly growing enterprise collaboration platform while supporting internal and external customers. As part of the college's marketing team the successful candidate will report to the Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing.

In order to fulfill the Webmaster's primary and continuing responsibility to enhance and maintain the quality of the Franklin College website, the Webmaster's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, management of multiple external website projects including the ability to determine scope and timeliness of ongoing projects; content management (facilitation of campus discussions with all web content providers with regard to policy/procedures and design); investigation and expansion of the appropriate use of all electronic communications (e.g. e-mail, web interfaces, social media, etc); online marketing activities; the skill to develop compelling design concepts using the Franklin College Branding and Style Guide standards and direction; and maintaining all appropriate files, records, and statistics.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) or a related field and 5+ years of demonstrated web design experience. Work experience in a college environment is desirable. This experience must demonstrate proficiency in the development and/or use of:

• Consumer based website development and maintenance
• User Interface Design, supporting usability and user interaction
• Drupal and Wordpress
• HTML , MySQL, PHP, and CSS
• Adobe creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash) applications
