An
application which originally started with a position as Director of
Advising.
I enjoyed
my work as a high school guidance counselor and have a passion for
assisting college students in their pursuit of academic success.
When a
student applies the study strategy techniques taught and experiences
classroom success.
Adapting to
a diverse student population; particularly those with learning
disabilities.
Experiences
and guidance from masters in the field like Dr. Stephens was a tremendous
help. He was a role model and inspiration. Connections with faculty are
so important!
Lead by
example and not verbally. We desperately need Christ-centered educators
in the public schools to help impact future generations. The example that
you can provide and demonstrate to students and other faculty alike is
very powerful. At the same time, get as many experiences with different
groups as possible…struggling students, different ethnic groups… all of
this will assist you in your career.
Work with
educationcareer services…this service is awesome! Also, network and
volunteer!
