What influenced your decision to go to graduate school?

I knew I wanted to further my career in some capacity and decided administration was the preferred area.  However, at that point I was in no hurry to leave the classroom.  I wanted to do my studies and courses prior to having a family though and that's why I started grad school in my second year of teaching.  I did it full time and concluded my studies in two years.

How did you explore graduate school?

I explored my two local options.  I preferred the curriculum, availability and schedule of the school I chose.

Do you have any tips related to the application process?

Be sure to investigate all areas and aspects.  For example, the time of the courses, internship opportunities, professors, cost, reputation, and even trivial things such as parking!  The one college I explored was known for horrendous parking and it was a deterrent to me.
