BEST Robotics
BEST Robotics, Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer
organization whose mission is to inspire middle through high school students to
pursue careers in engineering, science and technology through participation in a
sports-like, hands-on, real-world engineering-based robotics competition.
BEST was started by a couple engineers from Texas Instruments in 1993. The BEST website is http://www.bestinc.org . An

Wolverine BEST Hub 2012 Competition
Grove City College is pleased to host the Wolverine BEST Hub. This year's competition is called Warp XX and will solve a problem related to space exploration (teaser video available on the BEST website - www.bestinc.org ). The dates for this year are Kick-Off Day, September 8, Mall Day, October 6 and Game Day, October 19 and 20. Kick-Off and Game Day are at Grove City College. More information will be coming shortly. A promotional video of the 2011 Wolverine BEST competition is available. Note it is over 300 MB in size, so it might take a while to download.
Registration is currently open for the 2012 season. To
register, have an administrator at your school send an email to Mike Bright,
mwbright@gcc.edu , indicating your
commitment to participate and naming the lead teacher(s) including email
address(es). There are 28 slots this year, with 14 currently filled by:
Clarion Area High School, Cornerstone Christian Preparatory Academy, Cuyahoga
Valley Christian Academy, DuBois Area High School, Family Instructors of the
North Suburbs, Glenoak High School, Harbor Creek High School, Hickory High
School, Mercer High School, Punxsutawney High School, Saegertown High School,
Slippery Rock High School, Slippery Rock Middle School and West Middlesex High
School.

The Wolverine BEST competition is offered to schools at no cost to the school. Grove City College sponsors the venues and provides much of the people power to make this happen.
