Academic Awards:

Finalist for an Edgar Allan Poe Award for book The Seven Deadly Sins in the Word of Dorothy L. Sayers. April 1999.

Careers:

The major highlight of my career was teaching high school English for six and a half years over a ten and a half year period at Ukarumpa High School in Papua New Guinea, a school for missionaries' children, operated by Wycliffe Bible Translators.

1986-1991 Sessional Lecturer in English Language and Literature, Memorial University of Newfoundland.  St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada.
