The Grove City College Observatory is located near Edinboro, PA on the highest hill in the county and far away from bright city lights. The observatory was originally operated by Edinboro University; Grove City College acquired it in 2008. The main building houses a 0.5-m telescope, which was refurbished by Optical Mechanics, Inc. (OMI) in 2008-09; work on the dome and computer control continued through 2010.

Students conduct research on variable star photometry, including transiting exoplanets, and astrometry of nearby stars. See our gallery of images acquired with the telescope in 2010.
