[ Mission
Statement ]
The Physics department provides rigorous physics
instruction in a Christian environment to broaden non-majors’ scientific
awareness and prepare majors for career success or further study in a
variety of professional fields. We expect our graduates to have a broad
knowledge of the principles of physics and the analytical problem
solving skills necessary to apply these principles to the understanding
of natural phenomena and the creation of new knowledge. Our students
should also be proficient in the process of scientific investigation,
including modern computational and laboratory methods, and be able to
effectively and coherently communicate their thoughts in written and
oral form. |
