Below is a list of current college-sponsored ICO trips. Please contact the leader(s) of the trip(s) in which you are interested to receive more information. Please note that some trips may already be filled to the maximum number of students and unable to accept additional participants.

Montego Bay, Jamaica January 5-15, 2014 Sarah Stadler & Nathan Kingsley

ICO Jamaica partners with Robin's Nest Children's Home. Possible projects involve: education of children (running classes at the on-site preschool, helping with homework or assisting with home schooling of 8-12 year olds, vacation bible school, bible study or daily devotions for the children, sports education, e.g. soccer camp,); maintenance/improvements to property; general tasks like laundry, cleaning, cooking, childcare; ministry to the staff (education in child development, child psychology, health, nutrition). There is also anticipation to get involved with getting supplies and setting up a sick ward in one of their new buildings.

Osorno, Chile January 2-18, 2014 Lizzie Parsons & Stacey Senter


ICO Chile will partner with Mission to the World while in Chile. Students will be involved in projects including light construction, painting, and other improvements to an orphanage. The team will also be responsible for holding a VBS for the orphans. There may also be opportunities to provide some community service projects to promote the visibility of the orphanage to inspire community involvement.

Carillos de Poas, Costa Rica  January 6-18, 2014 Abby Friel & Tara Skinner

ICO Costa Rica will be working with La Iglesia Metodista (The Methodist Church) in Carillos de Poas. The team will be hosting a vacation Bible school for the children at the church and performing on-site construction. The team may also serve the community in a variety of church events, working with the women's and youth ministries within the church.

Providence, RI November 23-29, 2013 Heidi Allison, Emily Lloyd, & Luke Latario

ICO Rhode Island will serve for a week at the Providence Rescue Mission, performing a variety of activities at the rescue mission and at a women’s shelter run by the mission.  Tasks will include building relationships with guests and evangelizing at the mission, serving the dinner, cleaning the guests’ sleeping quarters, preparing meals in the kitchen, and other similar tasks as needed.  During this week, the team will help a lot with Thanksgiving dinner preparations and serving.
