The Department of Entrepreneurship at
Grove City College offers Internship experiences as
electives for any student wishing to enhance their professional preparation for
the real-world work environment. We believe this experience complements their academic
course work by permitting application and experiential
learning. The
internship experience benefits students by:
-
Providing experience in startups,
corporate innovation contexts, non-profits, social
enterprises, small businesses and family businesses.
-
Introducing the student to real-world
organization-based experiences in a work environment
-
Enhancing interpersonal and professional skills.
-
Helping them evaluate academic theory
in light of real-world practice.
-
Fostering insight into potential
entrepreneurial opportunities.
Students may work with professors to
identify relevant opportunities, or may source opportunities
on their own. Students, professors, and host organizations
collaborate on all internship positions to articulate job
descriptions and to identify desired learning outcomes and
internship requirements.
