Media Services extends its technical support roles into the dramatic side of
campus activities, primarily found in the Pew Fine Arts Center
(PFAC). With one of the largest College stages in
Pennsylvania, PFAC's Ketler Auditorium provides numerous
opportunities each semester for student performances such as
plays, musicals and concerts, as well as inviting professional
musicians and actors to campus with the annual Guest Artist
series.
Media Services offers technical support and facility oversight
of the auditoriums and stages on campus, managed by Mr. Don
Wolf (x3822 or dewolf@gcc.edu), Media Services Technician.
Student technical work opportunities in the theater are
available each year. These "technical keyholder" positions are granted to
deserving students who meet the rigorous qualifications and
exhibit a keen interest in the technical aspects of theater.
Keyholders help with facility upkeep and offer technical
expertise for all events in Ketler Auditorium and the Little
Theatre.
Keyholders are available during weekly "work
hours" and by appointment to offer stage certifications to
interested students. Certifications are currently
available in the following areas: Sound, Lighting, Rigging, Set
Shop, Costumes.
