"Love is the overflow of joy in God that gladly meets the needs of others." --John Piper, Desiring God |
Men of God leaders are open to ideas for ways to act out Christ-imitating servanthood in the Grove City community. United Way's Days of Caring, caroling, doing odd jobs at a Christian campsite, and helping churches have been some of the ways we have done this in the past. These events offer chances for us to serve others and to get to know each other more deeply by working together. Of course, the ultimate motivation is supposed to be Jesus Christ's saving work: "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45, ESV); "We love because he [God] first loved us" (I John 4:19, ESV).
If you have ideas of ways we can serve others as a group this coming semester or year, please contact Jordan Harper.
