Semester Dates:
Classes begin Monday, May 20 at 9:00 am and end Saturday, June 1.
                                Classes are scheduled for Monday, May 28 - Memorial Day per the discretion of the professor.

Class Times: 9:00 am to 11:00 am and 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
                          SCIC 203 labs run 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Exams: Midterms - Saturday, May 25
          
     Finals - Saturday, June 1

Pre-Intersession Assignments: Instructors may send assignments in advance to registered students.

Closed Classes:  The enrollment capacities for intersession courses are established by the instructor and the Registrar's Office.  Please contact the Registrar's Office regarding the status of a closed class.

Cancelled Classes: The College reserves the right to cancel any course if there is insufficient enrollment.  Students will be notified shortly after May 3 and may choose another course that is open or withdraw from Intersession without penalty.

Drop/Add Period: Class may be added or dropped by Monday, May 20 at 9:00 am. 

Withdrawal Period: May 20-27 - Class remains on the transcript with a grade of "W”.
                                     May 28-June 1 - Class remains on the transcript with a grade of "WF”.

Tuition: $335/credit hour

Room & Board:  May 16-June 1: $646 (Pre-Intersession and Intersession)
                             May 20-June 1: $494 (Intersession Only; Board begins on May 20)

Colonial Hall Apartment residents selecting the pre-intersession and intersession period (May 16-June 1) will receive board beginning with dinner on May 16.

Residence Hall/Commuter Status: An automated e-mail from the Office of Student Life and Learning will be sent to each residence hall student to request that he/she use myGCC  to select either the May 16-June 1 or May 20-June 1 residence period or to inform that office that he/she plans to live off-campus.  The deadline to register for Intersession housing is Friday, May 10.

Resident Hall students staying on-campus (including Colonial Hall) after the end of the spring 2013 term will remain in their currently assigned rooms until Saturday, May 18 (pre-intersession). Beginning May 19-June 1, residents will be moved to Memorial Hall (men) or Mary Ethel Pew Hall (women).  Student Life will e-mail details for moving in after the May 13 deadline.

Payment Deadline: Friday, May 17, 2013 by 12:00 midnight EST.
Payment may be made online at myGCC under Financial Info.  Payment may be made in person at the Cashier's window on the 2nd floor of Crawford Hall, or may be mailed to:

A Late Payment Fee of $35.00 will charged on all payments received after the payment deadline.
A Late Registration Fee of $35.00 fee will be charged to those who register after 12:00 midnight EST on Friday, May 17, 2013.

Intersession Refund Policy: If a student voluntarily withdraws from Intersession within the first three days of class he/she may be refunded a portion of the tuition charges in accordance with the following schedule:
          Withdrawal by Monday, May 20 before 9:00 am . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .100 % refund
          Withdrawal after the above deadline through May 21 . . . . . . . . . . . . . .    75 % refund
          Withdrawal on May 21 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .      50 % refund
          Withdrawal on May 22. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .     25 % refund

A prorated portion of room an board charges will be refunded to all students based on the date of withdrawal. Resident students who withdraw from Intersession must move out of the residence hall and leave campus immediately.

Parking: Students with a car on campus for Intersession who do not have a 2012-13 parking decal must register the car with the Campus Safety Office.  If a student is changing parking status for Intersession (example you are a resident student and have a resident permit, but are commuting for intersession) he/she must pick up a temporary permit from the Campus Safety Office to change parking status.  Students must bring a driver’s license and registration card to the Campus Safety Office.  Parking for intersession is free.
