Semester Dates: Monday, January 6 at 9:00 am through Saturday, January 18, 2014

Class Times: 9:00 am to 11:00 am and 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
                          SCIC 203 Labs run from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Exams: Midterms - Saturday, January 11
          
     Finals - Saturday, January 18

Drop/Add: Monday, January 6

Withdraw Period:
Tuesday, January 7 through Monday, January 13 – Students who withdraw from a course will receive a “W” grade
Tuesday, January 14 through Friday, January 17  – Students who withdraw from a course will receive a “WF” grade

Pre-Intersession Assignments: Instructors may send assignments in advance to registered students.

Cancelled Classes: The College reserves the right to cancel any course for lack of enrollment. Students will be notified shortly after November 30th and may choose another course that is open or withdraw from Intersession without penalty.

Residence Hall/Commuter Status: A student who registers for a January Intersession course must confirm their housing intentions via a portlet available on myGCC. A daily automated email will be sent to the registered student’s GCC email account until housing arrangements have been verified. The deadline to register for Intersession housing is Monday, December 9 at 5:00 p.m. Due to the need on the part of the College to prepare the residence halls for Intersession residents prior to closing for Christmas break, no changes will be made after this deadline.

Payment Deadline: Friday, January 3 by 12:00 midnight EST.
Payment may be made online at myGCC under the Financial Info menu.  A payment may also be made in person at the Cashier's Window on the 2nd floor of Crawford Hall or may be mailed to:

A late payment fee of $35.00 will charged on all payments received after the payment deadline.
A late registration fee of $35.00 fee will be charged to those who register on January 6.

Intersession Refund Policy: If a student voluntarily withdraws from Intersession within the first three days of class he/she may be refunded a portion of the tuition charges in accordance with the following schedule:
          Withdrawal prior to the first day of class . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 100 % refund
          Withdrawal on the first day of class . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .   75 % refund
          Withdrawal on the second day of class . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .   50 % refund
          Withdrawal on the third day of class. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .   25 % refund
          Withdrawal more than three days after class begins . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .   no refund

 A student who does not attend and does not notify the Registrar's Office that he/she is withdrawing from an Intersession course will be withdrawn on the first day of class and refunded according to the above schedule. When a student withdraws on or after the first day of class, a prorated portion of room and board charges will be refunded based on the date of withdrawal. Resident students who withdraw from Intersession must vacate the residence hall and leave campus immediately.

Parking: Students with a car on campus for Intersession who do not have a 2013-14 parking decal must register the car with the Campus Safety Office.  If a student is changing parking status for intersession (Example: you are a resident student and have a resident permit, but are commuting for intersession) he/she must pick up a temporary permit from the Campus Safety Office to change parking status.  Students must bring a driver’s license and registration card to the Campus Safety Office.  Parking for intersession is free.  The Campus Safety office is open 24/7.
