Loew, Bilko earn Sportsman, Sportswoman of Year

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Grove City College has selected senior soccer player Seth Loew (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) and senior swimmer Megan Bilko (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) as its Omicron Delta Kappa Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year, respectively, for the 2015-16 academic year.

The College honored Loew and Bilko during Honors Convocation Saturday in Harbison Chapel as part of Family Weekend.

Loew concluded his career at Grove City last fall by becoming the program's first-ever three-time All-Region honoree as he earned Second Team All-Great Lakes from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). In 2015, Loew led the Presidents' Athletic Conference with 18 goals, which marked the third-highest total in Grove City history. He finished with 43 points, good for third in the conference.

Loew earned Third Team All-Region after his sophomore season and received First Team All-Great Lakes distinction as a junior. He earned First Team All-PAC in each of this four seasons and secured the league's Player of the Year award in 2014. Loew also earned All-ECAC South First Team after his senior season.

Loew graduates as Grove City's career leader with 22 assists while his 43 career goals are fourth on the Wolverines' career list. His 108 points rank second on Grove City's career list.

A computer information systems major, Loew has earned Dean's List honors as well as Grove City's "Scholar Athlete" distinction.

Bilko earned NCAA Division III All-America honors in the 200 butterfly and 400 individual medley this year at the national championships in Greensboro, N.C., finishing her career as a seven-time NCAA All-American. Bilko earned Presidents' Athletic Conference Most Valuable Performer honors in February. She first captured that award as a sophomore in 2014 and also earned First Team All-PAC honors three times.

This year, Bilko won conference titles in the 400 IM, 500 free and 1650. She is Grove City's record holder in the 500, 1000, 1650 and 400 IM. She also owns the conference record in the 500, 1000 and 1650.

Additionally, Bilko ranks third all-time at the College in the 200 free and the 200 butterfly. She is majoring in business management and has earned the College's "Scholar Athlete" honor.

Grove City first awarded its Sportsperson of the Year award in 1948. In 1982, the College split the award into Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year.
