Alfery named PAC Men's Golfer of the Week

GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Freshmen Jorden Alfery (Cheswick, Pa./Fox Chapel) has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Co-Men's Golfer of the Week for all matches played from October 7-13, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

Alfery shot a season-low 75 to earn medalist honors from among the 32-golfer field at the Carnegie Mellon Fall Invite, edging Saint Vincent's Jake Reed by one stroke. His score led the Wolverines to a team score of 326, good for a share of second-place in the five team field.

On the season, Alfery ranks third on the team with an average score of 80.3 over eight rounds.

The Grove City College men's golf team finished third at the fall portion of the 2014-15 PAC Golf Championships. The Wolverines are scheduled to begin their spring season March 20 and 21 at the Capital Invitational.
