Grove City drops a pair to Behrend

GROVE CITY, PA, April 25, 2000--Penn State Behrend held host Grove City scoreless for 13 straight innings Tuesday in a 4-1, 12-0 non-conference sweep at the College Field.   The Lions improved to 22-16 overall, while the Wolverines slipped to 11-13.

In the first game, Nate Kauffman (Canonsburg, PA/Canon-McMillan) singled home Eric Bell (Grove City, PA/Grove City), who reached on a single, with the lone Wolverine tally in the top of the first.

Mike Suchan (Independence, OH/Independence) went the distance in game one, allowing two earned runs on six hits while striking out four.  J.G. Louden (Morgantown, WV/University) started the nightcap and gave up four earned runs.  Ben Helms (Mead, WA/St. George School) surrendered five earned runs in relief.
