He led the Presidents' Athletic Conference in home runs, slugging percentage and sacrifice flies (8) and earned First Team All-PAC recognition. Magister finished the season with 54 total hits. He also finished third in the PAC in batting average and fourth in on-base percentage.

Magister had 19 multi-hit games and closed the season on a nine-game hitting streak. He hit safely in 22 of Grove City's final 25 games and recorded seven games with at least three hits. He also hit .451 (23 of 51) with runners in scoring position.

Magister is second all-time at Grove City with 16 career home runs.

In 2009, Magister also received First Team All-Mideast Region from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and earned Academic All-District from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
