Senior Chris Hull (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) took the loss in relief, allowing five runs in 1 2/3 innings. Three of the runs were unearned.

Grupp homered and doubled in the nightcap as Grove City jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second.
