The Wolverines notched their second sweep in as many days with 14-6 and 16-1 decisions over host Thiel in Greenville, PA.

In the first game, Grove City overcame a 4-0 first-inning deficit with 13 runs in the final four innings.  Nate Kauffman (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) homered twice and added a double to finish 3-for-5 with three RBIs.  Ron Jones (Butler, PA/Knoch) also went 3-for-5 and picked up the complete-game victory, allowing two earned runs and nine hits, while striking out six.  Mike Kashurba (Latrobe, PA/Latrobe), J.G. Louden (Morgantown, WV/University), Drew Hoagland (Butler, PA/Knoch), Jeff Meyers (Spencerport, NY/Churchville-Chili) and Eric Bell (Grove City, PA/Grove City) had two hits each.

The Wolverines opened the second game with a six-run first -- totaling 19 runs in five straight innings -- and tacked on seven more in the third -- making it 26 runs over seven frames.  Jones and Brian Kaufold (Butler, PA/Butler) contributed two hits apiece.   Lefty Mike Suchan (Independence, OH/Independence) got the win in his second start, striking out six and giving up four hits and one earned run in five innings. 

Grove City, now 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference, banged out 15 hits in the first game and 11 in the nightcap.  Thiel dropped to 0-6.
