Skaricich steps down as head baseball coach

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- After 18 seasons as Grove City College's head baseball coach, Rob Skaricich is stepping down, effective immediately, to pursue other professional opportunities. Skaricich concludes his career at Grove City as the program's all-time wins leader with 285.

A four-time Presidents' Athletic Conference Coach of the Year (1999, 2001, 2002, 2008), Skaricich guided the Wolverines to the program's first PAC title in 2001. Grove City then repeated as conference champion in 2002.

In 2008, the Wolverines became the first conference team to earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Championship Tournament as Grove City won its third league title.

Skaricich also guided Grove City to the conference's regular season crown in 2011. The Wolverines then won the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Championship Tournament and finished with 25 wins.

Skaricich will continue to serve as an assistant professor of physical education at the College.
