April 13, 1999--
A three-run rally in the bottom of the seventh lifted the Grove City College baseball team past visiting Washington & Jefferson College, 16-15, and completed a sweep in the Presidents' Athletic Conference twin bill.  The Wolverines, winners of eight of 10, improved to 14-6, 9-5 in the PAC, while the Presidents fell to 6-22, 5-9 in the PAC.

Trailing 15-13, J.G. Louden (Morgantown, WV/University) led off the bottom of the seventh with a double and scored on an RBI-single by Adam Booth (North Canton, OH/Uniontown Lake).  Mike Kashurba (Latrobe, PA/Latrobe) followed with a single and Eric Kephart (Osceola Mills, PA/Philipsburg-Osceola Mills) doubled in Booth, moving Kashurba to third.  Ron Jones (Butler, PA/Knoch) then drew an intentional walk to load the bases.  With one out and the bases still juiced, Derek Gearhart (West Middlesex, PA/West Middlesex) delivered his third hit of the day, a game-winning single, driving in Kashurba.

Kashurba, who hit a lead-off home run (2) in the first inning, also collected three hits, as did Kephart.  Booth contributed two hits.

Mike Suchan (Independence, OH/Independence) notched the win (2-2) in relief of Jones, allowing three runs (two earned) in 3-2/3 innings.

Louden (3-1) tossed a two-hitter in game one, striking out four and walking three in seven complete.  Jones and Booth each had a pair of hits.
