April 15, 1999--The Wolverines were swept for just the second time this season, dropping 7-3 and 10-2 decisions to Penn State Behrend in Erie.

Nate Kaufmann (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) doubled in a pair of runs in the first inning and Drew Hoagland (Butler, PA/Knoch) singled home a run in the sixth to give Grove City a 3-1 lead before Behrend rallied with six runs in the sixth. Chris Hussar (Newtown Square, PA/Delaware County Christian) took the loss (2-1), allowing four earned runs in seven innings of work.

Jeff Meyers (Spencerport, NY/Churchville-Chili) suffered his first loss of the year in game two (3-1), giving way to Justin Magee (Grove City, PA/Grove City) after four innings.

Grove City fell to 14-8 overall.
