They're going back.

The Grove City College baseball team earned its second straight berth in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship by routing visiting Thiel and Waynesburg Colleges by respective finals of 10-1 and 10-3.  The Wolverines meet Bethany College Tuesday at noon in Bethany, WV needing nothing less than a two-game sweep to claim its first PAC baseball title ever.  Bethany moved to 2-0 in the double-elimination tournament with a 4-3 triumph in 11 innings over Waynesburg earlier Tuesday at Thiel.

The Wolverines cracked four home runs on the day, including a grand slam off the bat of J.G Louden (Morgantown, WV/University) that broke a 2-2 tie against Waynesburg in the fourth inning.   Drew Hoagland (Butler, PA/Knoch), Adam Booth (North Canton, OH/Uniontown Lake) and Ron Jones (Butler, PA/Knoch) also homered in the pair.

Derek Gearhart (West Middlesex, PA/West Middlesex) contributed two doubles in the Waynesburg win.

Chris Hussar (Newtown Square, PA/Delaware County Christian) notched the victory (3-1) against Thiel, scattering six hits in seven complete innings.  Jeff Meyers (Spencerport, NY/Churchville-Chili) became the squad's first four-game winner this season (4-1), striking out six in seven strong against Waynesburg.

Last year, Grove City was swept by Waynesburg in the tournament's championship round.
