May 3, 1999--The Grove City College baseball team suffered a pair of three-run setbacks at the home of perennial hardball power Geneva College Monday afternoon.

J.G. Louden (Morgantown, WV/University) accounted for five of the Wolverines' 25 hits on the day.  Mike Kashurba (Latrobe, PA/Latrobe) and Nate Kauffman (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) each had four hits, while Eric Kephart (Osceola Mills, PA/Philipsburg-Osceola) and Derek Gearhart (West Middlesex, PA/West Middlesex) contributed three hits apiece.  Louden, Kashurba and Kephart each tripled in the 13-10 loss in which Grove City posted five runs in its final at-bat.

The Wolverines fell to 23-12, while the Golden Tornadoes improved to 27-18.

Grove City, under consideration for an ECAC playoff berth, closes its regular season slate at home on Wednesday against Oberlin College.
