Clark earns Second Team All-South
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Grove City College senior defensive tackle Tony Clark (Stow, Ohio/Stow) earned Second Team All-South Region honors from D3Football.com through voting by the region's sports information directors Thursday night.
Clark started all 10 games for Grove City this year and recorded a career-high 61 total tackles, which ranked third on the team. He posted 9.5 tackles for loss while anchoring a youthful defensive line. He played 40 career games at Grove City and finished with 173 total stops.
Clark's efforts helped the Wolverines to a 4-2 mark in Presidents' Athletic Conference play this season. The 6-foot-4, 265-pounder also earned First Team All-PAC from the league's head coaches after the season. Clark served as a team co-captain this season.
In 2008, Clark earned Third Team All-South recognition. Grove City players have earned D3Football.com All-South honors in four of the last five seasons. Cornerback Mike Baker earned All-South in 2007 and safety Aaron Margo received All-South in 2005.
