Orlando, who ran for 149 yards in the first half, scored the game's first two touchdowns on runs of 63 and 35 yards, giving the Wolverines a 14-6 lead at intermission.  His other touchdown came midway through the third quarter on a one-yard run.

The Wolverines amassed 402 yards of total offense, more than double their 183 total yards against Dickinson in Week One.  In fact, their 367 rushing yards against the Lords more than doubled last week's total.  Paving the way up front were junior left tackle Derek Bostick (Akron, OH/Coventry), sophomore left guard Mike Pelloni (Ellwood City, PA/Ellwood City), freshman center B.J. Arnold (Brookfield, OH/Brookfield), sophomore right tackle Tony Masterofrancesco (Greenville, PA/Greenville), and sophomore right guard Dave Eicher (Moon Twp., PA/Moon).

Defensively, Grove City held Kenyon to 217 total offensive yards, including just 29 yards rushing.  The Lords' quarterback, senior Tony Miga, completed 23 of 49 passes and was sacked three times.  Senior outside linebacker Jonathan Forbes (New Martinsville, WV/Magnolia), sophomore OLB John Bialowas (North Royalton, OH/St. Edward) and freshman ILB Mark Graziano (Greensburg, PA/Greensburg-Salem) recorded a team-high eight tackles each.  Forbes and Graziano each had three tackles for a loss of 11 yards.  Sophomore cornerbacks Greg Grupp (Harmony, PA/Slippery Rock) and Dan Roseum (Chesterland, OH/West Geauga) each intercepted a pass.

With the win, Wolverine head coach Chris Smith set a new school record for football coaching victories (70).
