The Wolverines broke open the game with a pair of third-quarter touchdowns. Junior quarterback Brian Pell (Streamwood, Ill./Wheaton Academy) fired a 40-yard touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Khalil Ervin (Malvern, Pa./Phoenixville) with 7:20 left in the period, pushing the lead to 21-3.

Kaclik's three-yard touchdown run with 21 seconds left in the quarter closed Grove City's scoring. Pell highlighted the seven-play, 57-yard touchdown drive by firing a 39-yard completion to freshman wide receiver Tony Britt (Kent, Ohio/Kent Roosevelt).

Saint Vincent scored with two seconds left in the game when Juan Hernandez caught a 22-yard touchdown pass off a deflection.

Pell completed 9 of 15 passes for 180 yards. Britt caught four passes for 69 yards while junior Anthony Ritchie (Big Rock, Ill./Wheaton Academy) had two catches for 53 yards, including a 36-yard reception that set up Kaclik's first touchdown.
