Grove City falls at Thomas More

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- The Grove City College football team fell in Presidents' Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon at Thomas More as the host Saints (6-2, 5-1 PAC) earned a 64-7 victory at Bank of Kentucky Field. Thomas More took control of the game by scoring 27 points in an 11-minute span of the second quarter.

Grove City broke through with 9:58 in the third quarter when sophomore wide receiver Luke Brancato (Rockwood, Pa./Rockwood) pulled in a 13-yard touchdown pass from freshman quarterback Tyler Kepple (Chicora, Pa./Karns City).

Sophomore cornerback Miles Milner (Aurora, Ohio/Aurora) set up the Wolverine touchdown by recovering a fumbled punt at the Thomas More 8.

Four Grove City quarterbacks combined to complete 16 of 37 passes for 134 yards. Freshman Gabe Greco (New Brighton, Pa./New Brighton) made his second straight start and completed 10 of 17 passes for 92 yards. Kepple went 3 for 6, good for 17 yards. Sophomore Aaron Lundmark (Russell, Pa./Eisenhower) went 3 for 11 and freshman Dan States (Brookpark, Ohio/Berea Mid-Park) attempted three passes in his collegiate debut.

Junior wide receiver Josh Peach (Hartville, Ohio/Lake) caught five passes for 77 yards. Junior wide receiver David Folkmire (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) also had five receptions for 28 yards. Eight different Wolverine receivers caught a pass.

Senior linebacker Jason Skyrm (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) recorded a team-high 14 tackles, including two for loss. Junior linebacker Bobby Tuttle (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) had 11 stops and a sack. Junior defensive end Ryan Hickey (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) also had a sack.

Thomas More halfback Domonique Hayden ran for 174 yards and five touchdowns. Thomas More quarterback Jensen Gebhardt threw for 235 yards and a touchdown on 12-of-16 accuracy. Brenan Kuntz went 5 for 6 for 81 yards and two scores. Thomas More held a 625-195 edge in offensive yardage.

Grove City will host conference foe Bethany next Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
