Wolverines fall by five at Allegheny
MEADVILLE, PA, November 18, 2000--Allegheny overcame an 11-point first-half deficit to defeat visiting Grove City, 58-53, on day two of the 2000 Western Pennsylvania Classic.
Junior guard Chris Kreider (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin) paced the Wolverines with 18 points. Senior forwards Shane Meling (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock) and Pat Roberts (Home, PA/Marion Center) finished with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
The Gators outrebounded the Wolverines, 35-23.
Both teams moved to 1-1 overall.
