Bison down Wolverines, remain on top in PAC

GROVE CITY, PA, January 30, 2002--Freshman Ryan Eller (Erie, PA/Iroquois) poured in a career-high 14 points but the Grove City Wolverines fell to Presidents' Athletic Conference-leading Bethany, 58-50, at the College Arena.

Eller, who finished 6-for-8 from the floor, led three Wolverines who scored in double figures. Senior Pat Roberts (Home, PA/Marion Center) and sophomore Phil Bushre (Swartz Creek, Mich./Swartz Creek) each tossed in 10 points and added seven rebounds.

Grove City led 32-26 at halftime but struggled offensively in the second half, scoring just 18 points. The Wolverines committed 28 turnovers in the game, a season-high.

Grove City (14-6, 2-2 PAC) posted a 39-38 edge on the glass and held Bethany to just 28.6 percent (18-for-63) shooting in the game.

Mike Majzun led Bethany (13-6, 4-0 PAC) with a dozen points.
