Wolverines fall to Westminster, 76-69

GROVE CITY, PA, February 13, 2002--Westminster freshman Pat O'Connor fired in a career-high 23 points as the visiting Titans earned a split in the season series against Grove City with a 76-69 victory at the College Arena.

O'Connor drilled five of Westminster's 12 three-pointers, helping the Titans rally from a 34-31 halftime deficit.

Three sophomores scored in double figures for the Wolverines, who were held to 38 percent shooting as a team (23-for-60).  Tanner Prosser (Pittsburgh, PA/Brentwood) and Jim Fetzner (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) tossed in 13 apiece, while Ian Dean (Damascus, MD/Damascus) chipped in 10.  Prosser added a game-high nine rebounds, leading Grove City to a 42-31 edge on the glass.

Grove City, who defeated Westminster in four overtimes on Jan. 26 (111-101), fell to 16-8 overall, while Westminster improved to 10-14.
