Wolverines grind out victory over Kenyon

GAMBIER, Ohio -- Less than 72 hours after their worst loss in a dozen years, the Grove City College men's basketball team bounced back Tuesday night to pull out a 67-59 victory at Kenyon in non-conference action.

Junior forward Ryan Eller (Erie, Pa./Iroquois) led the Wolverines (3-3) with 18 points and 10 rebounds while senior forward Tanner Prosser (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brentwood) racked up a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double. 

Junior point guard Mike Lukcic (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) fired in 15 points while backcourt partner J.D. Collar (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) added 11 points. 

Grove City led by as many as 20 in the second half, 47-27, before holding off Kenyon's second-half charge. The Wolverines jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first half and led wire-to-wire. A 9-0 run midway through the first half allowed Grove City to own a 36-22 halftime lead. 

Grove City out-rebounded Kenyon (3-5) 39-31 and committed a season-low nine turnovers. The Wolverines will host Denison Friday night at 8 p.m.
