Mount Union downs Grove City 

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Visiting Mount Union charged out to a 21-6 lead and rolled to a 74-48 win over Grove City in non-conference men's basketball action at Grove City's Howard Johnson Holiday Classic Tuesday afternoon. 

Senior forward Tanner Prosser (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brentwood) fired in 15 points and grabbed six rebounds for Grove City (3-6), both team highs. Prosser now has 1,020 career points, moving him into 19th place on Grove City's all-time career list. Prosser passed Dutch Leonard, who became Grove City's first 1,000-point scorer from 1955-59. 

Junior guard J.D. Collar (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) added 10 points for the Wolverines, who shot just 19 of 48 (40 percent from the floor). Grove City did out-rebound the Purple Raiders (8-3) 32-25, however.

Junior point guard Mike Lukcic (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) earned All-Tournament honors for the Wolverines. 

All-Tournament pick Brett Hershberger led Mount Union with 13 points while Curtis Stevens added 12. Mount Union guard Brad Gerard, Messiah forward David Henninger and Muskingum guard Zach Ross also earned All-Tournament recognition.

Messiah downed Muskingum 65-63 in Tuesday's first game.
