GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Five Grove City College players scored in double figures Wednesday night but the Wolverines dropped a 75-70 decision to host Thiel in Presidents' Athletic Conference men's basketball action at Rissell-Beeghly Gymnasia.

Senior center Phil Bushre (Swartz Creek, Mich./Swartz Creek) posted a 15-point, 13-rebound double-double while sophomore forward Mark Smith (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) and freshman guard Shawn Carr (New Castle, Pa./Mohawk) each chipped in 11 points.

Senior forward Ryan Eller (Erie, Pa./Iroquois) and junior swingman Matt Phillips (Bainbridge, Ohio/Kenston) each scored 10 points.

The Wolverines (13-10, 6-3 PAC) jumped out to a 13-5 lead but Thiel rallied and eventually took a 34-27 lead by halftime. Thiel (7-17, 3-6 PAC) led throughout the second half, warding off several Grove City comeback efforts.
