November 21, 1998--The Wolverine defense limited CMU to 28% shooting from the field and Damon Finazzo (Erie, PA/McDowell) pumped in 18 points to give Steve Lamie his first win as head coach. 

The Wolverines were aided by 20-for-24 (83%) shooting at the charity stripe.   Grove City held a 33-24 lead at halftime over the Tartans (0-2).  Senior Brent Steineman (Pickerington, OH/Wadsworth) added 11 points, while sophomore swingman Shane Meling (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock) chipped in with ten. 

The Wolverines, who shot 44% from the field, will travel to Altoona on Tuesday to take on Penn State-Altoona at 7:30 pm.
