Grove City 73, D'Youville 28

February 17, 1999--Bob Ayton (Warminster, PA/William Tennent) netted a career-high 18 points and the Wolverine defense held visiting D'Youville to nine field goals in a 73-28 victory at the College Arena.

Ayton drilled 8 of 12 shots from the floor, including 2 of 4 from three-point territory, and added two assists and two steals.  Lee Huffman (Gibsonia, PA/Hampton) also scored in double-figures with 10 points on 5-for-6 shooting and contributed a game-high 10 rebounds.

The Wolverines held the Spartans to 22% shooting (9-41), lowering their national-leading field-goal shooting defense percentage to 35.6%.

Grove City improved to 14-8 and will host Thiel Saturday at 4:00 p.m. on Senior Day.   D'Youville fell to 0-22.
