Allegheny Tops GCC, 65-42 Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA, November 20, 1999--Allegheny outshot Grove City 63% to 29% in the second half and posted a 65-42 victory over the Wolverines at the West Penn Classic, hosted Saturday by Carnegie Mellon. Dan Quinn (Uniontown, OH/Green) scored a team-high 11 points for Grove City, who trailed 27-17 at halftime. Tanner Prosser (Brentwood, PA/Brentwood) had 10 points and a team-best seven rebounds. The Wolverines, who fell to 1-1, were outshot in the game, 52% to 30%. Allegheny evened its record at 1-1. David Stiansen (Telford, PA/Souderton) represented GCC on the West Penn Classic All-Tournament Team. Stiansen netted nine points Friday against CMU and five in the Allegheny loss. |
