Muskies Rally To Beat GCC, 71-67

NEW CONCORD, OH, December 15, 1999--Tanner Prosser (Brentwood, PA/Brentwood) recorded his second straight double-double for Grove City, but Muskingum used 14 three-point buckets to defeat the visiting Wolverines, 71-67.

Grove City dropped to 1-6, while Muskingum improved to 4-2.

The Wolverines led 32-30 at halftime and owned a five-point edge, 46-41, six minutes into the second half before the Muskies went on a 15-2 run, aided by three three-pointers.  Grove City cut the deficit to one, 68-67, with 19 seconds left in regulation, but Muskingum went on to make 3 of 4 free throws, while GCC misfired on a pair of threes.

Prosser scored a team-high 16 points on 7-for-10 shooting and added 10 rebounds.  Chris Kreider (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin) tossed in 13 points, hitting 5 of 8 shots from the floor, and contributed five assists.  Dan Quinn (Uniontown, OH/Green) had 10 points on 5-for-7 shooting and added eight boards and four dishes.  Dave Pifer (Sarver, PA/Freeport) rifled in three 3s to finish with nine points.

The Wolverines shot a season-high 57% from the floor, while Muskies converted 50%, including 45% (14-31) from outside the arc.
