GROVE CITY, PA, February 5, 2000--Five Wolverines scored in double figures as Grove City climbed to within a half-game of first place in the Presidents' Athletic Conference with an 87-65 win over visiting Bethany.

Grove City improved to 8-13 overall, 3-2 in the PAC, while Bethany fell to 7-13, 0-5 PAC.

Pat Roberts (Home, PA/Marion Center) knocked down 6 of 6 from the floor en route to a team-high 13 points and added four rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots.  Tanner Prosser (Brentwood, PA/Brentwood), Lee Huffman (Gibsonia, PA/Hampton), Dave Pifer (Sarver, PA/Freeport) and Shane Meling (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock) each netted 10 points.  Prosser and Meling also pulled down seven boards apiece as the Wolverines enjoyed a 41-27 edge underneath.

Grove City shot 69% from the field in the first half to lead 42-22 at intermission.  The Wolverines outshot the Bison in the game, 62% to 30%.

The defending PAC champs get a shot at first place on Wednesday when they meet Thiel in Greenville at 8:00 p.m.  The Tomcats, 3-1 in the PAC, sit atop Grove City, W&J and Waynesburg, who enter the week tied at 3-2.
