Grove City places third in season opener

NEW CASTLE, PA, March 19, 2001--Junior Nate Miklos (Hermitage, PA/Kennedy Christian) fired a team-low 80, one shot behind medalist Jim McGovern of Westminster (79), as the Wolverine golf team opened its season with a third-place finish at the six-school Westminster Invitational held at the New Castle Country Club.

Pitt-Greensburg won the invitational with a score of 330, followed by Westminster (336), Grove City (345), Edinboro (369), Waynesburg (381) and Thiel (395). 

Wolverine junior Mike Solesha (Zelienople, PA/Seneca Valley) finished five shots back with an 84.
