Grove City fares well at
Division II invite
SLIPPERY ROCK, PA, April 10, 2001--The Wolverine golf team posted a season-best
team score of 329 on Tuesday, good for seventh place overall at the eight-school Slippery
Rock Invitational, held at Armco Golf Club.
Junior Nate Miklos fired a team-low 78, placing in a three-way tie for 16th in the field of 40. Juniors Mike Solesha and Chris Moreland carded 83s, while freshman Richey Pefferman also scored with an 85.
The final team standings were: 1. IUP 293, 2. Millersville 295, 3. Slippery Rock 309, 4. Allegheny 314, 5. Clarion 317, 6. Wheeling Jesuit 326, 7. Grove City 329, 8. West Chester 330. Grove City and Allegheny were the only Division III schools represented.
