Waynesburg nips GCC men by a stroke
GREENVILLE, PA, April 11, 2002--Playing its fourth match in four days, the Grove City
College men's golf team placed second to Waynesburg College by a single stroke at the
Thiel College Invitational, held Thursday at the Greenville Country Club.
Wolverine senior Nate Miklos (Hermitage, PA/Kennedy Christian), this week's Presidents' Athletic Conference player of the week, finished third in the 26-man field with a team-best round of 80. Junior Jeremy Plaisted (Butler, PA/Butler) turned in an 82 to place third overall.
Waynesburg edged Grove City in the final team standings, 335-336. Bethany and Thiel tied for third at 361.
Thiel's Brett Stedman was medalist with a 76.
