Wolverine golfers 11th in rugged field at IUP

INDIANA, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team finished 11th at the 11-team Indiana University of Pennsylvania Invitational Wednesday afternoon at Indiana Country Club.

The Wolverine golfers accumulated 327 total strokes. Allegheny won the event with 290. Grove City and Allegheny were the only NCAA Division III teams in the field, which included eight D-II schools and one Division I school.

Freshman Justin Tulk (Cheboygan, Mich./Cheboygan) tied for sixth with a round of 73 on the par 71 course. Sophomore Jeff Mohrman took 41st with an 82 while senior Dan Sumner tied for 47th with an 84.

Grove City returns to action Thursday at the Thiel Invitational at Greenville Country Club.
