Wolverine golfers take 2nd at Waynesburg
WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team took second out of five teams at the Waynesburg College Men's Golf Invitational at Green County Country Club.
The Wolverines fired a team total of 319, four strokes behind champion Washington and Jefferson. Waynesburg "A" shot 336 while Thiel took fourth with 362. Waynesburg "B" placed fifth with a 386.
Three Grove City golfers placed in the top four. Freshman Justin Tulk (Cheboygan, Mich./Cheboygan) took second with a 76 while freshman Jon Cameron (Solon, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) was third with a 77. Senior Jeremy Plaisted (Butler, Pa./Butler) finished fourth with a round of 78.
Grove City will host the Grove City Invitational Monday at Grove City Country Club.
