Grove City takes 7th at Westminster Invitational
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team opened the 2004 season Monday afternoon at the Westminster College Invitational at New Castle Country Club.
Grove City placed seventh in the 12-team field with 326 total strokes. Allegheny won with 310 strokes while Malone finished second at 315. A total of 16 strokes separated the top seven.
Junior Alex Intihar (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) finished in a tie for sixth with a round of 78. Junior Jeff Mohrman (Ashland, Ohio/Ashland) tied for 10th with a 79. Malone's Garret Barbush earned medalist honors with a 37-36-73.
Grove City will compete in the Gannon Invitational Friday afternoon in Erie.
